My best friend sent this to me earlier. He is a wonderful person. Not sure what I would ever do without him.
*Well, I know it doesn’t really help, but I will say it anyway. You are probably the kindest and most caring person I know, and you expect (and deserve) to be treated the same way that you treat your friends. Unfortunately, in most friendships, it seldom works out that way. It seems like 1 person always has more invested in the relationship, they put forward the most risk and that leads to the possibility of more hurt, hassle, heartache, and general disappointment. There is no right or wrong way to live your life JaMee, you need to do what’s best for you, but I really can’t see you as a person who will become a “hermit”! There is a line in an old movie, Silverado, when the character played by Kevin Cline says something like “There are only 2 ways to approach life, either treat everyone as a friend, or no one”. If you accept everyone as a friend, you will get hurt at times, but hopefully the good outweighs the bad. On the flip side, if you insulate yourself from people, you may not get hurt, but you will get lonesome. You are a great friend, I hope you know that, and while I understand that everybody needs to get away from time to time, I hope you never change how you are as a person.
Love always

“Beautiful Loser is an amazing song. Bob Seger is a great musician. I’ve seen him live 3 times in my young life. Will never forget the memories of seeing him live with my friends. ”

The Descendants (2011) http://imdb.com/rg/an_share/title/title/tt1033575/
I imagine two people laying on a nice thick quilt outside. The top of their heads next to each other. Their eyes fixed on the stars above them. As they soak in the music that is playing around them. It isn’t hot or cold, the weather is just right. They both feel a comfort in knowing the other one is there. Without words they are having the time of their life. Who are those two people?
